Abstract
The bodies of revolution antennas with circular ground plane can be found in many application such as broadband antennas. In such cases an exact knowledge of the input impedance and radiation pattern is required. This paper presents a rapid and accurate analysis method applicated at such geometries. Our method combined with the well known wire grid modell yields a greater accuracy for calculating the monopole input impedance over a ground plane. Accuracy of the technique presented is verified experimentally and the ressults are compared with measured data.
