Abstract
The authors theoretically simulate the travelling wave dielectrophoresis phenomena observed by Huang et al. (1993). Such simulations can be used to design electrode geometries and determine the experimental conditions for facilitating such effects as the selective separation of cells from heterogeneous populations. The authors use the method of moments and the finite element method. Of the two techniques, the finite element method is the most computationally efficient and flexible
