Abstract :
This paper describes a new approach to realize a reconfigurable surface with true bending stiffness. The reflector surface consists of a mesh of interwoven flexible wires. The goal is to realize a space antenna with a dynamically controlled footprint (e.g. zoom capability), using a minimum of control points
