Analysis of the mechanism for economic growth of introducing FDI in Jilin province

From studying the influence of foreign direct investment (FDI) on economic growth, foreign and domestic researchers find that FDI is an important factor to improve economic growth. Based on the panel data of nine regions in Jilin province from 2003 to 2007, the paper uses quantitative methods to study impractically the mechanism for economic growth of introducing FDI in Jilin province. The outcome of study shows that FDI is a factor to promote economic growth in Jilin province, and the most significant mechanism for FDI to promote economic growth in Jilin province is capital effect and foreign trade effect.
