Abstract :
In this paper, the method for simplifying if-then rules obtained from decision table by rough sets-based method is proposed based on the concepts of interior competition factor, exterior competition factor and remarkable degree. Using the proposed method, the main features of Japanese industries are analyzed. The analysis results show that the proposed method is very efficient for classification problems with many attributes and the large number of data.
