Data embedding using phase dispersion

We present a method of data embedding based on the convolution of message data with a random phase. We review the theory of the method and show how the technique can be used to hide both pictorial and non-pictorial data. Design considerations for the carrier are also presented. Applications of the technique to robust and fragile authentication are also briefly described.
