Abstract :
In the paper an analysis of the optimal scanning mode (for field frequency, frame format, number of scanning lines etc.) and target reading/preparation methods is performed for a pyroelectric vidicon (PEV) based thermovision system. The effective four-field operating cycle, which can be used with a new PEV-type pyroelectric modulation effect tube (PEMET), is proposed.
