            Abstract : 
A method for clustering complex, multivariate data, Kohonen self-organizing maps (SOMs), is suggested. The method is applied to telecommunications customer segmentation on real data from a telecom service provider. Customers were classified into 7 groups. The characteristics of each group are deeply analyzed in order to draw a clear outline of each group.
