Performance evaluation and analysis of listed port companies in China

In order to provide investors information about the listed companies of China ports, and help those enterprises find their development vulnerability, deep analysis and evaluations are needed. Therefore, the undertaken paper was conducted to evaluate and analyze the performance of 13 listed port companies in China based on performance evaluation theory. The financial performance evaluation system on the basis of Chinese accounting standards of listed companies was established to analyze the different aspects of the company´s performance. Hence, factor analysis of multivariate statistical analysis along with SPSS statistical software were used to analyze and process the data obtained from the company´s annual report. And then several scores reflecting those companies´ performance were obtained. Based on the scores, the investors can access company´s performance information to help them make better decision, and the companies can adjust their management skills.
