  • Abstract
    One crucial issue for routing in wireless ad hoc networks is how to select a reliable path which depends on the availability of the links constituting the path. So a good estimation of link reliability between neighboring nodes could permit the selection of a more reliable route. Due to the nature of the wireless ad hoc networks, mobility and radio propagation etc., it is not easy to collect enough information or find some regular pattern to assess the link status between the neighboring nodes. To solve this, we propose a link reliability assessment method based on grey relational analysis which computes the probability of being a good quality link from limited knowledge. The simulation and analysis show this scheme is an efficient method for link reliability assessment in wireless ad hoc networks.
