Abstract :
This paper proposes an automatic sliding door with a type of parametric control. The system controls the door position by adjusting the slope angle of the rail from which the door hangs. In particular, this paper discusses control law, which compensates friction forces. The structure of the proposed automatic sliding door is suitable for home use because there is no potential for harming users and the door is available even in the case of power blackout. This type of door is good for care homes, hospitals, schools, and so on.
