The service industry of Tianjin has made considerable progress and outstanding contributions to the fast economic development of Tianjin in recent years, but still there are a great deal of problems in its own development. On the basis of analyzing the current situation and problems of service industry in Tianjin, the paper constructs the competitiveness evaluation index system of service industry of Tianjin. The paper analyzes factors which may influence the competitiveness of service industry according to the empirical conclusion drawn. Finally, the paper puts forward the concrete strategic measures from three levels of government, industry and enterprise to improve the competitiveness of the service industry.
