Abstract :
In this paper, we studied the algorithms of fingerprint image enhancement and put forward a new method to calculate the direction image. Firstly, Radon Transform is used to estimate the direction image, then, the image is filtered by a set directional filters, thus, we get the enhanced image. The experiment results indicate that this method is simple and efficient; which established the firmed foundation to fingerprint image matching.
