  • Abstract
The objective of this paper is to illustrate how performance test systems on the factory floor can be enhanced by utilizing the power and speed of integral computer hardware and software to automate and simplify tasks typically performed in the production environment. The first part of this paper discusses why the test system is needed to perform additional tasks. The second section defines the relationships between various departments within the organization, and the test system. The third section discusses the benefits of integrating additional functions into the test system. The final sections of the paper discusses incorporating artificial intelligence and networking to simplify tasks associated with the production environment
