Abstract
Dispersion measurements on Coplanar Waveguide(CPW) lines, using Alumina as the substrate material, are described, covering the frequency range 2-40GHz. CPW effective dielectric constants were calculated from the resonant frequencies of both ring resonators and straight resonators using a technique which eliminated end-effect. The results are compared with certain available theoretical treatments. Independently of these an empirical formula tailored to the measured points is developed.
