Abstract
A new generator for hyperthermia application is presented with feedback control based on a Phased Locked Loop (PLL). The phase and amplitude can be controlled in a very accurate way since the phase and the amplitude are locked by direct feedback from the applicator. The phase and amplitude shifts in the amplifiers are compensated by the phase and amplitude controlling. The generator will be used in a multi-channel hyperthermiia system. Accurate phase and amplitude control at the applicator stage is a necessary condition for the evaluation of experiments with phased arrays. The accuracy of the phase and amplitude steering is proved by measurements with a network analyzer.
