Abstract :
We analyze the HDDBMS using the object-oriented technology and design a kind of mechanism for the execution of global transactions in DDBMS without deprecating the autonomy of each site. The basic idea is: all the global transactions should be decomposed by the coordinator which is in the same site with the transaction; and all the access to the data should be controlled by the coordinator that is in the same site with the data. Such design makes the distributed processing of the global transactions in a more restricted level. We propose a new sorting algorithm based on timestamp, which can avoid occurrence and detection of dead locks, to guarantee execution in a serialized order. Communication between sites is realized by Remote Procedure Call technology. It improves interoperation between programs in different sites, and avoids inter-process block in traditional distributed transaction processing.
