Abstract
The current paper offers insight into the asymmetrical operation and control of dual channel resonant DC-DC power converters. The common feature of the configurations presented here is that all of them have two channels. Asymmetrical control can often be necessary if energy exchange is required between the two channels (e.g. maintaining symmetrical output voltages in spite of the asymmetrical input voltages and/or loads). Three independent control variables offer adequate possibilities for the control to intervene in both continuous (CCM) and discontinuous (DCM) conduction modes
