  • Abstract
Reynolds equation was deduced based on Evans-Johnson model, and Numerical solution for isothermal line contact EHL was conducted successfully using multi-grid method. Slow movement of lubricant through the contact area leads to oil film thickness decrease seriously. Newtonian rheological model is no longer applicable When slide-roll ratio is larger than. Second pressure-peak is decreasing with increasing slide-roll ratio. Under heavy load and large slide-roll ratio conditions lubricants in different regions showed different rheological behavior.
