Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide a systematic way of evaluating both jet pulse and reverse air cement kiln baghouse technologies for the volume ranges where the decision making process is difficult because some of the data that should influence this process are not readily available. The authors also provide a way to measure the operational cost impact over a 20 year life cycle. The tables and graphs provided should be interpreted not so much in absolute dollar value as in relative numbers. Since all the units have been sized with the same basic criteria, any cost differential due to particular site conditions are assumed to have the same financial impact in both cases
