Abstract :
Higher order mode cavity filters are prone to evident deterioration of the desired ideal responses. The effects accounting for that -namely parasitic bypass couplings - of non-resonating waveguide modes within the cavities - are explained. Corrective measures are introduced to achieve the design goal with the aspired filter characteristics.
