  • Abstract
    In this paper, the Chebyshev transfer functions is proposed to synthesis and design a UWB filter using short-circuited stub resonator. A half wavelength transmission line with an embedded quarter wavelength short-circuited stub can be seen as a multi-modes resonator (MMR) to achieve a wide bandwidth, moreover, the embedded short-circuited stub can produce a pair of transmission zero to achieve a sharper rejection skirt. A UWB filter using short-circuited stub resonator is synthesized and simulated, the electromagnetic (EM) simulation results and the circuit simulation through the synthesis theory are almost the same.
