Abstract
Different from the existing C-ARQ scheme, this paper gives a cooperative ARQ scheme with arbitrary maximum number of retransmission rounds constraint, which uses MRC to receive the packet from different branches and obtains diversity gain. Aiming at such cooperative ARQ scheme, this paper analyzes the system throughput performance based on a novel Markov model. The simulation results based on a specific scenario is implemented and the throughput results are consistent with that of the numerical results deduced from the Markov model. That demonstrates the proposed model effective. Then, the theoretic analyses and numerical results show that the maximum number of ARQ retransmission has an obvious impact on the system throughput especially when the channel is poor.
