Abstract :
Implementation of a low cost wideband multi-channel up-convertor for future wireless communication System is reported in this paper. The up-convertor converts the IF signal of 1.45 GHz to the RF signal of 6 GHz-6.5 GHz, the channel bandwidth is 100 MHz. In order to obtain wideband LO and reduce the cost, the scheme of frequency multiplication is employed in the design of the LO. System block diagram and design considerations are included in this paper. Finally, measurement results of the convertor are provided, which indicates that the up-convertor has excellent performance, such as high output power, good linearity, and low EVM (Error Vector Magnitude).
