This paper presents a mathematical model of the research by ANSYS simulating on eddy current loss of core tie-plate made of non-magnetic steel in power transformer, combined with the practical structure and distributing law of windings stray field of transformers, FEM analysis method is determined which adopts magnetic vector potential to calculate the magnetic field of core tie-plate and adopts electric vector potential to calculate its eddy current loss , Solvable mathematical and physical models are established. The calculating method has been validated by comparing the calculated results with those obtained from model experiments.
