Abstract
The main performance such as the mean square error and the average entropy are obtained for delta modulation, differential pulse code modulation, modified adaptive differential pulse code modulation systems and the adaptive quantizer with variable range. The input signal is a time-discrete first order Gauss-Markov process with the very high correlation of samples. The average transition time of each system is evaluated
