Abstract :
In this paper, Yutong plug-in hybrid school bus as the study object, with its energy management control strategy for research, proposes a rule-based energy management control strategy. In order to verify the effectiveness and the rationality of the control strategy developed, using the ability to build complex model of MATLAB/Simulink to establish the powertrain and the control strategy models of the school bus in the MATLAB/Simulink environment. The powertrain model of the school bus includes an engine model, generator model, main drive motor model, battery model, driver model, gearbox model, vehicle longitudinal dynamics model. Through the analysis of simulation results, validating the strategy developed is reasonable and effective, so the school bus meets the design requirements in terms of power and economy.
