  • Abstract
    Sign Language is a communicative tool for the deaf, but sign languages of countries all over the world are different. The difference between sign languages of China and America hinders the communication between the deaf of China and America. The research of Chinese-American sign language translation is of great academic value and wide application prospect. The paper introduces the status quo of research concerning sign language recognition in China and America and pointes out the notable problems on finger spelling defined by the language itself, lexicon and means of expression of language in the research of Chinese-American sign language translation.
