Abstract :
The polypyrrole / piezoelectric transducer (PPY/PT) was constructed to assay L-asparaginase activity. The initial reaction rate had a linear relationship with the activity of L-asparaginase in the range of 0.01U·ml-1~0.10 U·ml-1. The detection limit was 0.01 U·ml-1. The proposed method was used to determine L-asparaginase activity in Proteus vulgaris from different strains. Compared with Nesslerization method, proposed method was accurate, simple, non-toxic and real-time.
