Abstract :
Making use of a horn antenna connected to a resistive head together with a matched load, high microwave pulsed power density measurement has been performed in a free space. Experiments were carried out in S, X and Q bands at a frequencies 2.75 GHz, 9.2 GHz and 34.2 GHz, respectively. For the first time, microwave pulsed power densities up to a few hundred kW/m2 have been detected.
