An empirical research of the forming process of Firm inter-organizational e-business capability: Based on the supply chain processes

In the supply chain, the forming process of firm inter-organizational e-business capability has already become the key problem focused by enterprises and academic circles. From the research perspective “firms´ collaboration”, this paper, combining with the theory of RBV and with e-commerce process view, demonstrates the forming mechanism of firm inter-organizational e-business capability in up-stream and down-stream. We find that the integration of IT resources is the base of the creation of e-business capability and the internal e-business capability promotes the creation of e-business capabilities in supply chain processes. This study is expected to help managers in planning internal and external resources and make contributions to the research perspective on e-business capability.
