  • Abstract
For a few years, THALES and CNES have been developing new miniaturised OC Os for space applications. These "micro-OC O" and "mini-OC O light version" (respectively referenced EWOS 513 and EWOS 810) are based on professional components instead of space qualified ones. Because standard space qualification rules cannot be used with such components, a new method have been developed to evaluate their ability to fulfil space missions. The retained method derives from the highly accelerated tests. This paper first describes the highly accelerated tests approach and how it has been applied to miniaturised OC O. Then specifications and typical OC Os performances are given, under conditions such as thermal vacuum, magnetic field or radiation.
