Abstract :
In vivo experiments, the fungicidal activities of five essential oils vapor against Botrytis cinerea were tested. They are tea tree oil, clove oil, garlic oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus leaf oil. The results indicated that the fungicidal activities of tea tree oil against B. cinerea were better than that of other essential oils. At the same time, tea tree oil also could inhibit the growth of other main fungal pathogen of fruits. The EC50 and MIC values of tea tree oil against B. cinerea mycelial growth were 0.063 ml/L and 0.7 ml/L (v/v), respectively.
