Abstract :
Regional economic system includes the industry structure and geographical subsystems. Yangtze River Delta is the most sparkly area in China. Since 1978, the implementation of reform and open policy, majority cities of the area has developed into the stage of industrialization period. With the statistical data of Yangtze River Delta 1978-2007, this paper uses correlation analysis, comparative analysis and multivariate statistical methods to make a quantitative study on the relationship of industry restructure and urbanization, and find level of urbanization lags behind, industry doesn ´t push urbanization sufficiently, and vice versa.
