Abstract :
The expressways extension project need a huge amount of investment, complex object system, as well as high difficulty of construction technique and will bring large social impact. To introduce an idea of programme management can efficiently improve our management level of expressways extension project. The paper relies on Hu-ning expressway extension project, analyses the programme characteristics of expressway extension project and investigates the breakdown structure of programme system, also study the application of the idea of programme management in the whole life-cycle of expressway extension project management. A new management idea of expressway extension project based on the programme is brought forward, which combines with the engineering breakdown structure (EBS) and project breakdown structure (PBS). It is propitious to the effective improving of cost management, help to build the information management matrix and the whole life-cycle cost management matrix of extension project, also can help to set up documents information systems and information reporting systems of projects (sub-projects), final is contributive to achieve the integrated management in the whole life-cycle of expressways extension project. The success of the management idea used in Hu-ning project management will offer direction and reference to expressways extension project management for the future.
