Abstract
A hybrid instrument has been designed, implemented, and integrated into a bearing vibration test bed to provide built-in-test capability for the test bed. The instrument is capable of measuring multiple parameters that are critical indicators of the test bed´s operation conditions, such as the temperature of the motor and the test bearing, the shaft speed, and the state of the sensor cables. The test bed provides a platform for the experimental validation of an integrated bearing fault detection and diagnosis technique
