Abstract :
The traditional transmitted reference (TR) autocorrelation receivers usually use noisy reference signals as the correlation template but the performance is heavily influenced. To avoid the drawbacks, a modified differential transmission reference receiver (MDTR) is proposed in this paper and its performance is also evaluated. The new receiving system generates a reference signal by combining two consecutive symbol waveforms. Implementation approach of this scheme is adding a delay line and a delay unit to the traditional DTR system. By the simulation results and further analysis, we can see that not only the 100% efficiency of the data transmission is ensured, but also the MDTR system improves the quality of the reference signal. What´s more, the modified system has 4dB enhancement in contrast with the traditional TR system in the bit error rates. Then the overall performance has been substantially increased.
