Abstract :
Wavelet packet modulation (WPM) is a new type of multi-carrier modulation. This paper studies an identification method of the wavelet packet modulation signals in the Gaussian, Rayleigh fading and frequency selective fading channels. Using the higher order statistics and the joint estimation of the signal to noise ratio (SNR) can realize the recognition between single-carrier and multi-carrier modulations, the parameter reflects the envelope change of the power spectrum is proposed to classify the WPM signal from multi-carrier modulation signals. Simulation results show that good performance is obtained.
