Abstract
Compared with wired networks, wireless LAN sets up flexibly, and is easy to move conveniently. It can greatly compensate for the lack of wired networks. But the convenience and flexibility makes wireless networks face with the network eavesdropping, identity counterfeiting and unauthorized access and other security threats. In order to ensure the normal network data transfer and access, it must use some measures, such as authentication technology, access control and data encryption and so on. It might greatly improve the security of the 802.1× by analyzing the principles and the design flaws of the 802.1× authentication protocol which may be subject to attack and applying authenticable high EAP authentication protocol to Wireless LAN.
