Abstract :
Radio spectrum is a finite and scarce resource, which is the foundation for the ubiquitous network. Therefore, the introduction of appropriate spectrum pricing approaches based on the market mechanism is of great significance to the optimal utilization of it. On the basis of existing studies, a new spectrum pricing approach, namely the method of modification to the benchmark price (MBP) is proposed, and the corresponding pricing model is established in this paper. Furthermore, the calculation models of benchmark price and modification coefficient are introduced as well. Finally, an empirical study is given to verify the practical applicability of the model presented. The new spectrum pricing approach provides a simple and convenient way to price spectrum, which will make users realize the great value of spectrum more clearly, and promotes the efficient use of it.
