Abstract :
In this work we present an efficient quasi-analytical method to compute the characteristic parameters of the symmetric coplanar waveguide (CPW) embedded in a layered iso/anisotropic medium. The method is first developed in the frame of the quasi-TEM approach and leads to extremely quick and accurate computer codes. Next, it is extended in order to speed up full-wave spectral domain analysis (SDA) computations of the propagation constant and characteristic impedance. A systematic zero searching strategy is used. This gives place to an accurate, quick and reliable full-wave code.
