Abstract :
According to the complexity of Monitor AGC (automatic gauge control) system with large time delay for hot strip mill, a new Active Disturbance Rejection Controller (ADRC) was proposed to satisfy high accuracy and speed requirement. In order to improve the versatility of ADRC parameters, a unit gain was added in the loop. Based on the simplified model, the presented ADRC consists of linear functions which make it easier to realize. With the mutative scale chaos optimization method, the simulation results show that the optimized ADRC produces better performance, such as disturbances rejection and robustness, than the conventional Smith Predictor and PID controller.
