Abstract
An efficient CAD tool for the synthesis of a multilayer microstrip line using recently developed unified dispersion model based upon the single layer reduction (SLR) technique and optimisation technique is presented. The CAD tool has accuracy better than 0.5% in the range 0.2 ¿ W/h 10, 1 ¿ ¿r ¿ 20 and fr ¿ 20GHz. For many useful line configurations results are accurate beyond these ranges.
