Abstract :
Bigelow Laboratory provides an ever-involving array of educational information and interactive options to a wide range of audiences. Young students can learn about ocean circulation, lobster life stages, and benthic environments by playing our on-line challenge "Hatch to Catch." "Bottom of the Food Web" offers educational materials based on important research topics including the marine food web, photosynthesis, light and color. Our most ambitious outreach endeavor to date is a multimedia CD-ROM, "Phytopia," a window to the fascinating world of the oceans\´ microscopic plant life.
