Abstract :
A distributed CAD model for microstrip spiral inductors having an arbitrary number of turns has been implemented. The model consists of interconnected multiple coupled microstrip multiports and is characterized by a general two port which can be reduced to an inductive element at low frequencies. The simulation results are compared with the measured data for typical spirals in MMIC´s on GaAs substrates.
