Abstract :
We present a nonlinear propagation model for the few-mode fiber based transmission systems. Simulation results show that for 16QAM-CO-OFDM over 10 × 100 km bi-modal fiber link, the Q factor can be improved by 5.3 dB (DMD = 1 ns/km).
