Implementation of number recognition using adaptive template matching and feature extraction method

In recent years research towards number recognition is getting increasing attention. Many approaches have been proposed by the researchers towards number recognition and many recognition systems for numerals are available in the literature. In this paper we propose an adaptive template matching and feature extraction using curvelet transform for the recognition of numerals. The advantage of our approach is we get the best of the two results at its output.
