Abstract :
A frequency-interleaved DWDM-ROF system was designed to improve the optical spectrum efficiency. Meanwhile, a possible demultiplexing (DEMUX) schemes using arrayed-waveguide grating (AWG) was proposed. In the experiment, 25-GHz-separated four-channel optical single sideband signals modulated by a 60-GHz millimeter-wave carrying 2Gbit/s data were optically multiplexed by the frequency interleaving. Over 50-km standard single-mode fiber transmission, the results showed that interchannel-crosstalk had little effect on the system, and verified the feasible of designed demultiplexer.
