Abstract :
In this paper, a novel video error concealment technique is presented. More specifically, for IP-based in-vehicle wireless networks, a robust video error concealment technique is proposed based on residual errors and boundary matching approach. Residual errors are used for checking reliability of motion vectors of coding units and a boundary matching algorithm is used for maintaining smoothness in block boundaries. For boundary matching, a downhill simplex approach is adopted in the proposed approach. Although the simulation is preliminary, experimental results show that the proposed approach is promising.
