Abstract :
A broadband code division multiple access (B-CDMA) scheme is presented that will overlay the existing cellular telephone spectrum (825~894 MHz). The overlay will provide additional capacity to the network while allowing high-quality voice and high spread data services to coexist with cellular services. The advantages of using B-CDMA in the fading environment are analyzed. The absence of mutual interference to and from the B-CDMA overlay is shown
